Additional Grants to provide charities up to £100,000

The Bank of Scotland Foundation is set to launch its first ever Large Grants Programme that will offer charities sustainable funding over multiple years. This additional programme will provide grants of between £50,000 and £100,000, and is in addition to the Foundation’s existing grants giving portfolio.

Kate Guthrie, Chair of the Foundation's Board of Trustees and HR Director, Capability & Engagement, Lloyds Banking Group commented, “The ambition for all Bank of Scotland Foundation Grants is to help charities make a positive difference to communities throughout Scotland. And the launch of our first ever Large Grants Programme is no different. Importantly, this additional grant programme carries the additional advantage of providing steady, reliable, funding. Sustained funding is of immense value to charities, helping provide them with funding certainty for a longer period. We are delighted to be able to grow our grants giving portfolio in this significant way.”

Large Grants Programme:

  • Open for grants of between £50,000 and £100,000 on 13 October 2014
  • Closes to applications on 27 February 2015
  • Successful applications announced during June 2015
  • Funds can be used over one or two years depending on the needs of the charity
  • The focus of the awards will be to support developing and improving communities and financial inclusion and financial literacy in areas of demonstrable need
  • It is anticipated that in delivering these large grants there will be opportunities for Lloyds Banking Group Employee Volunteering
