Roadshow to highlight funding for local charities

Local charities are being invited to pop along to a roadshow that the Bank of Scotland Foundation is holding in Coatbridge on Friday 5 May, where representatives will be on hand to answer questions and support charities with any Bank of Scotland Foundation grant applications they are currently preparing.

This is the second year that the Foundation is holding these events to raise awareness of their grants programmes amongst local charities and customers. Each of the ten roadshows will be held at a local Bank of Scotland branch, with the Coatbridge event taking place at Bank of Scotland, Quadrant Shopping Centre, Main Street from 10.00-11.30am, Friday 5 May 2017./p>

Philip Grant, Chair of the Scottish Executive Committee, Lloyds Banking Group and Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees said, “We introduced these roadshows for the first time last year and they’ve proven to be a fantastic way to meet with local charities and help them find out more about the funding available from the Bank of Scotland Foundation. If a charity is already preparing an application for one of our 2017 Grants, we can answer any questions and help them with their submission.

“These roadshows are also a great way to highlight how Lloyds Banking Group colleagues in Scotland can claim up to £1,000 for eligible charities of their choice through our Matched Giving Programme. Colleagues can claim up to £500 for fundraising events and up to £500 for voluntary time given, which makes a big difference in helping charities deliver valuable support and make a tangible difference to the communities in which they live.”
