Volunteering Grants Guidelines

Applications are accepted between £1,000 to £20,000 for the Volunteering Grants Programme and grants are awarded for one year only. All grant requests must be made using the standard Volunteering Grants Application Form or the online Application Form. 

Applications can only be accepted from charities registered in Scotland.

There are certain activities and organisations that the Bank of Scotland Foundation does not support. It does not make donations to discriminatory, political or religious organisations. Bank of Scotland Foundation does not support animal charities or medical research. Bank of Scotland Foundation does not make donations to individuals or for advertising or sponsorship.

Charities that have previously applied to the Bank of Scotland Foundation, whether successful or unsuccessful, are eligible to apply for funding from the Volunteering Grants Programme.

All applicants will be informed in writing of the Trustees' decisions approximately eight weeks from the closing date for applications.

The details of charities who are successful in obtaining a grant through the Volunteering Grants Programme will be shared with Lloyds Banking Group and the Group will aim to engage employee volunteers to support the projects that are being funded.
