BOS Foundation Launches 2017 Large Grants Programme

BOS Foundation Launches 2017 Large Grants Programme

The Bank of Scotland Foundation has launched this year’s Large Grants Programme, accepting applications of between £50,000 and £100,000 from charities registered in Scotland. While the Foundation’s Small and Medium Grants require charities to use all of the funds within 12 months, Large Grants provide charities with steady, reliable, funding over a number of years.

Launched for the first time last year, five charities across Scotland have benefited from £405,000 of funding through the 2015 Large Grants Programme. The focus of the awards is to support developing and improving communities, as well as financial inclusion and financial literacy in areas of demonstrable need.

Philip Grant, Chair of the Scottish Executive Committee, Lloyds Banking Group and Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees said, “We launched our first ever Large Grants Programme last year, which is helping five charities across Scotland continue to provide a vital service to their communities.

“Sustained funding is of immense value to charities and our Large Grants Programme helps provide them with funding certainty for a longer period. We are delighted to offer this funding programme for a second year and help charities make a positive difference to communities throughout Scotland.”

Large Grants Programme:

  • Open for grants of between £50,000 and £100,000
  • Closes to applications at 12 Noon on Tuesday 7th March 2017
  • Successful applications announced during July 2017
  • Funds can be used over one or two years depending on the needs of the charity

The aim of the Bank of Scotland Foundation is to help develop and improve local communities and address financial literacy and financial inclusion by supporting local, regional and national charities working at the heart of communities across Scotland.
