Since the Foundation launched on 10th November 2010, its funding has helped to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across Scotland, addressing areas such as unemployment, poverty, digital inclusion, mental health and homelessness in some of Scotland’s most deprived areas.
Eight charities across Scotland have received the first grant awards from Bank of Scotland Foundation’s new Invest programme, which will help to ensure financial certainty during these exceptionally difficult times.
While Scottish charities are facing an increasingly challenging funding environment, 62 charities have got the New Year off to a good start thanks to a share of almost £1.9m of funding.

‘Supporting Positive Change Across Scotland’ is the Foundation’s five-year strategic plan which will see a range of new funding programmes open in 2019 and 2020.
Due to the overwhelming demand for Bank of Scotland Foundation’s 2018 Mental Health Fund last year, the Foundation is offering Scotland’s mental health projects a further opportunity to apply for funding.
Bank of Scotland Foundation had its busiest year in 2018, awarding 121 grants to Scottish charities totalling £1,661,157.
